The 4th of July is upon us, and if you’re like us, you’ve been too busy to plan for it. Are you short on food, decoration and activity ideas? Mini Maid has you covered!

Modern Decorations

When it comes to decorating your home, the red, white and blue color scheme to simple and classic.

Consider using white daisies and red carnations in a vase as the centerpiece. Use blue dye to color the water to make your clear vases appear to be blue. So chic!

As for tablecloths and other decorations, don’t be afraid of modern patterns and hues that differ from the traditional red, white and blue checkered patterns.

Patriotic Dishes

With so many great 4th of July themed food recipes out there, it’s hard to pick just a couple to serve. The Red, White and Blue 4th of July Rice Krispies Treats will definitely tickle your sweet tooth and should please the kids. So festive!

We also have a sweet treat that will please the adult party-goers – Berries with Tequila Cream. Not only is this treat absolutely luscious, but the blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and cream also maintain the patriotic color scheme.

Fun and Safe Activities

We have a few ideas that are great for both kids and adults. We love these Firecracker Tie Dye Patriotic T-shirts inspired by the Rocket Pops popsicles. These shirts are easy to make, fun to do as a group activity, and kids will love watching the shirts explode with color!

Watermelon Carve-Outs are just like pumpkin carving, but summer themed! Use stencils and a sharp knife (with adult supervision) to carve fun pictures and words. Show off your finished products on your porch or deck and cut them open at the end of your party for a sweet treat!
