Men are simple. On their special day, they may not be looking for ways to “spice it up,” but rather ways to slow it down.  Check out a few of our Father’s Day ideas to help  let dad unwind and relax.

Beach Day For Tired Soul. Whether it’s with the whole family or a much-needed solitary trip, pack your man a cooler with his favorite craft beers and make (or buy) his favorite sandwich for a long day in the sun. Whether he’s enjoying a nap in the sand or getting buried in it by the kids , you can’t go wrong with sun, snacks and the great outdoors. Fishing is also an activity that can be enjoyed with the family or on your own. Whether it’s on a boat or from the shore, Dad is always grateful for a fishing trip. But make sure to pack sunscreen since it’s the  Summer Solstice (longest day of the year and first day of summer)! Wouldn’t want dad to get burned on his special day.

Dad-style Dinner. Cook his favorite meal- better yet – have it delivered. Whether it’s a home-cooked specialty or his favorite take out, nothing says “we love you” like treating dad with his favorite foods. They do say a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.

The Good Old Sport. Does your man enjoy a good game? Maybe you have family plans for Father’s Day, but if you want to go above and beyond treat Dad to a getaway. Book him an early tee-time with his buds or get him tickets to his favorite ball game. Need a more affordable option? Get creative with “No-interruption-TV-time” coupons that he can cash in when his favorite game is on.
